The Caledon Tourism Association is currently raising funds for the Overberg Crane Group by raffling a beautiful Blue Crane quilt. The quilt, which is being quilted by the ladies of the Riviersonderend Quilting Guild, will be handed over to the winner later this year at a ceremony to be held in Caledon.

Earlier this year, the tourism association also raffled two lovely Blue Crane paintings in order to raise funds for the OCG.  The paintings were donated by Dale & Mel Elliot, internationally renowned artists from Villiersdorp. This event raised more than R9000 for the OCG.

On hearing of the success of this raffle, the Riviersonderend Quilting Guild partnered with the Caledon Tourism Association, to raise further funds for the OCG.

Tickets can be bought for R10 per ticket, or R20 for three tickets.

In order to stand a chance of winning this lovely quilt, contact Linda Farenhem at the Caledon Tourism Association by email:tourism@twk.org.zatourism@twk.org.za.

Our thanks to the Caledon Tourism Association, the Riviersonderend Quilting Guild and Dale & Mel Elliot for your wonderful support towards crane conservation in South Africa – we are extremely grateful for your contribution.
